We had a "heavy" snowfall - for being Vancouver - a couple of days ago and then yesterday clear sky and great sunshine. I have not seen so many people in Stanley Park and on the seawall, which could only mean people had decided to take a day off. This is from Devonian Harbour Park towards Westin Bayshore.
We started out from Salmo, BC at 7am after a heavy snowfall overnight and when we came to Osoyoos and Keremeos we had nearly clear skies and sunshine. The orchards have always fascinated me, regardless of the season, such as the form of the trees and the branches, the line-up of the trees, shadows in the snow during the winter, the flowering in the spring and the colours of the apples and leaves in the fall.
West End of Vancouver is experiencing daily changes due to significant construction projects. It took only two weeks to remove commercial buildings in this bloc and two high rises will be erected. Kootenay Lake looks quite difference in winter and in sommer. It looks deserted as soon as the snow and cold weather show up. The beeches today are white with snow, instead of kids playing, sailing or paddling.
