When the daffadills get in bloom, this has always been my favourite view with English Bay and the snow capped mountains in the background

Mount Gatety & Martyn SE3 on te left and Mount Ratney in the background. The shot is taken from the south end of Alouette Lake where there is a large picnic area and a beach. There are three large campgrounds a few kilometrs up on the left side of the lake, with 53, 61 and 96 camp sites. Very popular during spring, summer and early fall

Light snow was coming, ,minus 2 degrees C. The hill along the Seawall between Bidwell and Cardero Streets is covered with daffodils and they came out early this year, second nhalf of January.

We got a couple of inches of snow overnight and this forenoon. That brought out more people than what I see on a warm sunny summer day. Even people on bicycle was out.

A common game, where two players would try to play a sort of tug-o-war with their arms, a warrior

It does not look like the first week in February. The couple did the right thing, relaxing with a view of Cloudrburst Mountain, 1,880m (6,200 ft) high. Here is a closer view of Cloudburst Mountain. I was surprised how little snow it was on the mountains. That is not how I remember from previous years in early February.
