Klondike Hwy, Skagway, AK - Carcross, YT

After driving up the valley from Skagway we saw Summit Lake in the front with Teepee and Jack Peaks in the background. Building the White Pass and Yukon Railway up the valley was an engineering miracle. In White Pass: Gateway to the Klondike, Roy Minter gives the details on the challenging construction.

The scenery along the Klondike Hwy towards Carcross, YT was rich in fall colors and snowcapped mountains. Tagish Lake is at end of the road and Mount Patterson on the right.

Facing south along Tagish Lake towards White Pass and the Boundary Mountains.
