Watson Lake, YT - Alaska Highway
According to Wikipedia, Sign Post Forest is a collection of signs at Watson Lake, Yukon and is one of the most famous landmarks along the Alaska Highway. It was started by a homesick G.I. in 1942, when the US Army built the Alaska Highway. An estimated 17,000 signs are now posted.
Watson Lake got its name from an American-born trapper and prospector, Frank Watson who settled in the area at the end of the nineteenth century.
