Salmon Glacier, BC - fifth largest glacier in the world
It had been dense fog the two days we were in Stewart, BC and it looked like only a small chance to get up to Salmon Glacier. However, the morning of the last day we took the chance and drove the 34 k up to the viewing point. The fog had started to lift, but it took more than four hours before i could get some decent shots. It was worth it and I felt that the the fog in a way enhance the scenery.
This picture is from Google Earth and it shows the size of the glacier.
This guy took his guitar and sat down on the cliff and played and sang for a couple of hours, while waiting for the fog to lift.
