Burrard Inlet, Vancouver, BC

Entering Smithers

View towards Brockton Point and the inner harbour of Vancouver at 6.40 am this morning. Part of the land at Brockton Point was first cleared in 1865 in order to construct a sawmill. Due to rough currents around the point and a reef offshore, the Burnaby Shoal, it was decided that the mill was to be bult in Gastown and the point instead became the primary sports fields of early Vancouver.(partly quoted from Wikipedia).
