Ponta da Piedade, Lagos, Portugal.
We visited Lagos today, Christine went shopping in the Old Town and I took a boat ride to the Ponta da Piedade to see the caves and rock formation.
Unfortunately it was overcast and the cliffs should be seen in sunshine to bring out the spectacular colors. As soon as we were back on land the clouds of course disappeared.
The cliffs of the Ponta da Piedade headland is one of the finest natural features of the Algarve. This dramatic limestone coastline is formed of sea pillars, fragile rock arches and hidden grottos, all of which have been chiselled-out by savage winter storms. (source Lagos Tiurism)
